Bio
I have called the city of Chicago home for almost 35 years. Before that I grew up in the North Shore, so I’m a midwesterner at heart. Prior to becoming a private Wilson Reading Tutor, I worked in the Chicago Public Schools as a Learning Disabilities Teacher for 11 years. As an LD teacher in the city, I’ve taught and worked within a variety of settings. When I became Wilson certified, I knew that I wanted to focus on reading. In particular, helping those students who struggle with reading. Through my private tutoring, I have seen my clients gain success and confidence with their reading skills, while learning the Wilson Reading System. Their motto is “Wilson works” and it does.
Fun Fact
I am an avid tennis player and spectator. My bucket list is to go to all of the major tennis opens. So far, I’ve been to Wimbledon and the US Open. I’m half way through. My favorite players are Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi and Serena Williams. I’m happiest playing tennis on clay.
