I have a BA in French from the University of Iceland, an MFA in Acting from Regent University, and am a Reading and Literacy Specialist. Currently, I am working on my B.A. in English literature.
I was born and raised in Iceland. I have tutored for four years, mostly in French and language arts. I find tutoring very rewarding and I am incredibly proud of all of my students. In my opinion, teaching is an art form that requires a committed focus from both the teacher and the student. My goal is to create a learning environment that allows the student the freedom to explore, learn, and make mistakes. This learning environment will allow my students to develop good learning habits. I am committed to engaging with my students and connecting with them to establish a fun and focused learning session.
I love to travel and explore new places, people, and food. I have lived in Paris, Reykjavik, New York, Miami, Denver, and now Chicago, which I love because the food here is amazing! I also like sports, in particular, soccer and American football. I am a huge Manchester United fan and now I root for the Bears! Finally, reading has always been a big part of my life, and I always have to have at least one book on my nightstand. Right now, I am reading Bronte’s Jane Eyre.
