Bio

I am a composer, vocalist, actor, and I play the ukulele. I was brought up in Columbus, Ohio and have lived in Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and Chicago. I have written a modern opera/musical called AWAKE! a Subliminal Opera, I have had the opportunity to play in some great roles such as: Che Rivera in Evita; Senator Fipp in Urinetown; and in 2019, I played one of the lead characters in a new musical, Now and Then. In 2011 I co-founded a public elementary school in Columbus, OH. I helped create the music program and I served as the Artistic Director for two years. In addition to my work with Andy’s Hub, I am currently a substitute teacher for the Chicago Public Schools and at a local community arts center in Rogers Park. As a composer, the piano is a very important tool for my creative process and music theory is the language in which I write. I love teaching people how to play the piano and have taught from ages five to sixty-five. I customize my student’s lessons based upon what they personally want to learn.
